The Problem

Understanding acceptability of POCT for infectious diseases is fundamental to scale up, and efforts to promote and review acceptability need to be included in multi-dimensional models to inform scale up.

The Solution

To inform multi-dimensional scale up models, it is necessary to review the literature within and beyond the CRE work to examine key conceptualisations and patterns in acceptability research for POCT. Given the likely heterogenous literature (conceptualisation, method, health care setting, cultural context), a narrative review will be useful to examine key questions of acceptability of POCT for infectious diseases.
